For most provinces, a provincial nominee program may be your most viable option if you intend to live in that province and are able to meet the eligibility for a qualifying program

Understanding your application options

How you apply will depend on the PNP category you’re applying to. It’s important to seek the correct immigration advisor to determine whether you meet all qualifications prior to starting a provincial nominee application.

Keep in mind that you might have two options when applying for a nomination from your province:

  • Nomination under Express Entry PNP
  • Nomination under non-Express Entry PNP
It really depends on your province. Most provinces look for persons who have the skills to contribute to the province’s economy. This may depend on factors such as having a job offer, education, Canadian work experience or work experience in critical occupations, ties to that province and ability to speak English and/or French.
Absolutely. Provincial nominations issued under the Express Entry route can award you an additional 600 points.
It depends on the stream or category which you’re applying for. Most likely your employer must meet requirements if they are supporting your application.
